Mary and Patrick Maloney’s house as the investigation continues.
Last night the police were summoned to the Maloney’s home. Mrs. Mary Maloney had returned home to find her husband Mr. Patrick Maloney, dead on the living room floor.
Police and detectives have been working on finding any evidence from the murderer. Detective’s work so far has revealed
that the murderer hit Mr. Maloney on the head and fled the scene leaving nothing behind. Mrs. Maloney found him on the floor beside the window. “ I slipped out to the grocer for vegetables, and came back to find him lying on the floor. ” Says Mrs. Maloney. At the moment there are no witnesses from the crime scene.
Mrs. Maloney says that Mr. Maloney usually goes out on thursdays but, today he was tired so he decided to stay home. She had been preparing dinner and ran out to the grocers for some vegetables. The grocer reported that Mrs. Maloney acted quite normal. She was very cheerful and wanted to give Mr. Maloney a good supper. She had only been out for a few minutes but, that was enough time to the murderer to make their move. …show more content…
The doctor said that Mr. Maloney’s skull had been smashed. Mr. Maloney did
not have any known enemies and there are no suspects yet. “ It’s the old story. ” Says one of the detectives, “ Get the weapon, and you’ve got the man.”
Mr. Maloney was a detective at the local Station and Mrs. Maloney knows many of the officers there well. Many of Mr. Maloney’s friends and co-workers were stunned at the news.
