I met Jesus at sixteen years old and have since seen the power of Scripture to transform, correct, and establish me. I have walked with Jesus for eight and a half young years, and I could not have survived it without Scripture. My life changed in college when God began teaching me His Word, giving me a deep hunger to know it, and a burning passion to teach it. I have become more patient, level-headed, paced, wise, sensitive, and emotionally strong, for myself and others, since the Bible began rapidly changing me. I have developed a daily discipline of time spent in the word of God and reflecting on its truths and implications for my life as I am further conformed to the image of Jesus by His Spirit. This consistent time with God spent mining His Word and experiencing being satisfied “in the morning with (his) love, that (I) may rejoice and be glad all (my) days” was the fountain for my drive in ministry. I knew and believed Romans 8:29, desiring, like Paul, “for Christ to be formed in” those to which I was ministering. I spent hours in prayer and preparation for teaching and discipleship, hours with students and building new relationships, and hours in school or in the office growing in my competency to love and lead students and a ministry to them and their families. I was driven by one thing: my students knowing and loving Jesus, and that meant teaching slightly over their heads and doing all I could to instill in them a deep love for the word of
