Most of Iraq’s commercial services are Oil, Agriculture, Mining and construction; they are the main commodities and services that are in country. Even though Iraq has a massive amount of oil source for export, many Iraqi families still struggle to put food on the table. Most of them usually eat and share a whole bowl of food for the family, while some of them follow the western culture and eat with spoons and forks. The typical food for Iraqi families involves some type of grain like rice with vegetables and some kind of sauce. Lamb and goat is the main protein in the country and is very scarce to put on the table. Iraq has been through many conflicts and has provided a setback in its economy and its health care. The hospitals are undermanned and not up to date with medical equipment. The unfortunate situation that the country is in is a factor for diseases and common controlled illnesses to reappear in great numbers. Iraq was not always in a struggling economic position. In the 1970’s, Iraq’s economy went skyward from the oil production revenue and many Iraqis moved to the more urbanized structures and architecture. As the conflict before this, the president was dead set and had his eyes on the oil rich country. Another reason why he wanted to take over the country was that he thinks Kuwait conspired to sell oil lower then Iraq so that the United States and other countries would only buy from Kuwait. While the Iraqi formed near the border of Kuwait, The United States and NATO forces came to help Kuwait because it did not have the necessary manpower or military technology to defend itself.
