Automobile Pollution The automobile is undoubtedly one of greatest inventions in human history. It has come to play an essential role in society, in both the industrialized and developing world. Automobiles allow businesses to operate efficiently and are the primary mode of transportation in most economies around the world. Likewise, they have also influenced social life by allowing for greater interaction among people in society. Even individuals who do not personally own vehicles benefit from it through the use of public transit and taxis. Simply put, many activities such as going to work, shopping, and visiting loved ones would be incredibly difficult to do without the use of automobiles. Hydrogen vehicles are similar to electric fuels as they both run on a motor powered by electricity. However, what makes it different is where the electricity comes from. The hydrogen vehicle is powered by hydrogen fuel and batteries power the electric vehicle. Hydrogen vehicles do however come with disadvantages, as it is highly flammable because it is a very powerful source of fuel. It is also very hard to store as gas is easily transported through pipes but hydrogen is costly to have transported. Moreover, hydrogen is quite expensive. However, regardless of these minor disadvantages that do not personally affect the individual, hydrogen vehicles hold a significant advantage over electric vehicles as they are readily available and also hydrogen energy is very …show more content…
