A Brief history of Video Games When it comes to video games the first thing that comes to mind are three major names, Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft. Though these names are now household brands, it definitely did not start there. With the no almost realistic graphics video games started as something simple as a black screen and white lines moving up and down. As of 2016, there are eight amazing generations of video game consoles that holds a special place and every one’s heart. Video games can go back as far as 1950, where a few started designing games and simulations. Video games didn’t reach popularity until the 70s and 80s, when arcade games and gaming consoles and home computers were just being introduced to the public. As of today video games is a popular form of entertainment, where you can play casual kids and adults alike, even major tournament. Yes, you can even have a career as a professional gamer. Video games has evolved from just being a technical definition to defining a new interactive entertainment. Any game played on a modern high definition display, and most handheld game systems is considered a video because It is a product that produce a video signal transmitted to a cathode ray tube (that creates a rasterized image) which is outputted on a screen.
