A Brief Biography Of Jackie Robinson: All American Football Team

Jackie Robinson was born in 1919. In college, he was excelling in four sports, football, basketball, track, and baseball. In 1941, he made the All American football team. Shortly after, in 1945, he played one season of baseball in the Negro League. He was experiencing racism, so he was coming up with a secret plan to break the color barrier. In 1947, he joined the Brooklyn Dodgers. His team held a petition against him for not joining the team. Branch Rickey let him join the team, despite what the players said. In 1949, Jackie won the MVP award on his team. In one game, he was insulted, and instead of retaliating with his fists, he retaliated with his bat and got to first. In 1962, he was entered into the Hall of Fame. Sadly, in 1972, he passed
