A Brave New World's Oldest Brother

Years after the king gave the four brothers his kingdom and split it into quarters war started to rage on. Each brother turning on each other for more power. The oldest brother, James, was ruler of a kingdom of thieves. He was able to steal anything in the kingdom and no one knew he did The second oldest, Lucas, was the king of the astronomers and was said to have the power to see all. People in the kingdom say he got the power to do so from the stars. The third oldest brother, Cedric, was an excellent marksman. His kingdom had brought up children to train for battle and work in the mines for the finest gunpowder they could find. The youngest brother, Phillip, was a humble king. He would sew clothing for the children of the kingdom and would …show more content…
Seeing the pool of blackness move he knew it was James’ people. Lucas took a drink of water looking into the telescope again. “War shall be waged soon,” Lucas says looking up to the skies, “please leave us all safe.” Cedric walks into his castle completely unaware of the fact James’ people were coming. He sees barrels outside of the door and sprints to them.
“They’re back! Bring them down to the rest!” He says. Lucas looks at Cedric’s kingdom and sees smoke rising from it. Upon a closer look he sees a wooden barrel in flames. The barrel explodes taking buildings with it. People lay on the ground but Lucas could not tell who was living or dead. The explosion could be heard kingdoms over. An entire barrel of gunpowder exploding. Phillip sits in his castle unaware of what has happen, thinking the explosion was just construction for the new bakery on the other side of town. No biggy. But when a man comes in screaming about an explosion in Cedric’s kingdom he comes to his senses. “Is anyone hurt?” Asked the king.
“A few civilians but your brother is safe.” Responds the man.
“Who mad this attack?” The man stands worriedly. “It is rumored to be men from James’ kingdom, sir.” Phillip stands there

He was unsure whether or not his younger brother was dead. Fright rambled inside of him. “I must go…” He says not letting his advisor even comment on it. He takes a horse and his telescope, leaving for the kingdom of thieves. “Brother!” He yelles through the kingdom. “King James!” Nobody answers. He continues on. “Hello Lucas.” Says a voice with a sinister tongue. Lucas recognizes the voice. “Brother, why must you do this? He loved you and you destroyed him!” Lucas screams. He grabs at his telescope finding it is missing. “Lucas… Lucas… Lucas… You were one of the smartest brothers and yet you were dumb enough to let your telescope, the thing that made you king, slip into my hands…” James says taking a shot at Lucas with Cedric’s rifle, hitting him in the shoulder. James walks up to the fallen Lucas and stands over him, pointing the rifle again, shooting and spliting all of Lucas’ kingdom. “My lord! Your brother is… is…” Says one of the people of the
