"Guys! Guys! Can we buy some stuff before we go?" Qaw asked, looking around at the freshly set up marketplace.
As if it were a question, Genees pondered this for a moment. "Well we've got quite a ways until the next city, so I don't see why not-"
"Genees come take a look at this!" Maxia called as he finally realized that no one had waited for a response for an answer and had already left to do some shopping without him.
“Guys, what should we get? We don't happen to have too much gold and will probably need some better weapons…” Alki said, looking through this shop's wares, turning over a strangely colored potion in her hand. Maxia quickly takes the potion from her hand and lies it back onto the table, shaking her head.
“Do not touch that…”

Maxia and Genees took a turn into a small potion shop, looking for the red flasks of life, almost necessary for beginning travelers.
“First we should probably get our lower health people some health potions, just for the heat of battle.” Genees stated. “I mean, I can heal if need be, but I only get a few spells per day.”
“Then maybe you might need this!” Maxia held up a tiara looking thing, a gem in the middle of it. “It gives you 2 extra spells as long as you wear it!”
“And how much is that…” Genees asked as he picked up 3 small health potions and turned to walk towards the scaly

At this very moment, the gnome, Glane, was heading towards the shopkeeper at the same arcana shop.
"It must be a burden, having such a beautiful elf running this shop all by herself." He said to the elven shopkeep, barely being able to be seen from over the counter.
She chuckled. "I'm not as delicate as you might take me to be..."
As the conversation went on, Genees rolled his eyes and put the potions in his bag, taking a step away from the counter. Out of the corner of his eye, he could see a shadow whisking by, barely visible. If not for the missing potion where it passed he would have never thought twice about it.
Then it happened another time, at the other side of the shop. He shook his head, walking to the corner of the shop, and there, hiding in the shadows, there was his only elven companion.
"Kage, what are you doing?" He sighed, watching the cloak rustle in the darkness.
He just heard a shush, then a sigh. "We need supplies, and we're not gonna get it with a measly thousand gold. Do me a favor, distract the shopkeep for me, seems like Glane is striking

As I stared across the bullet-torn battlefield I wondered how I ended up here; hiding behind a crumbling wall, clutching my gun as though it were a lifeline. How the young kid I'd once been now bore a dirty, camouflage patterned uniform. There I was, contemplating my life in the middle of a battle. I shouldn't have been surprised when a hand suddenly shot out in front of my face and smacked me upside the head. It was so unexpected that I nearly stumbled out from behind the rubble and right into the bullet whizzing by.…

He clutched at the sheet of paper in his hand and held his trembling finger a few inches from the doorbell. "You can do this," he whispered to himself, "It's just for a month." The Choice I Made; Drugs and Children Sure there’s weed that just about everyone tries at one point or another in their lives, but in this city, at my school, just about everyone was a heavy smoker, both cigs and weed, and we were all only fifteen to eighteen years of age, this is not okay. You should know, I’m from the city of Chattanooga, yes the one with the fastest Internet in the world, a city that also has a very high violent crime rate and drug use per citizen. You can find almost anything in my city from weed to meth and everything in between, something that isn’t advertised when people talk about how amazing, beautiful, and technologically advanced the city is. Even in the middle school my senior year of high school a thirteen year old kid was expelled for bringing cocaine in.…
