“A Band of Brothers." “The Boys of fall.” High school sports are an ideal way to gather students, faculty, and parents to support your local High school, however, the most popular of them all is and will most likely continue to be, football. Under the Friday night-lights of Saddleback Community College, JSerra Catholic High School’s football team set sail on their journey throughout the treacherous Trinity League, nationally ranked the toughest league in High School sports. Stacked with Division 1 bound players, the Trinity league has hosted some of college football’s stand out players including, Matt Lienart, John Huarte, Matt Khalil, Carson Palmer and Chris Rix. Compiled of national powerhouses, athletically and educationally, like Mater Dei, Servite, St. John Bosco, Orange Lutheran and Santa Margarita, the Trinity League consists of six High schools, all private and two being all boys schools (Servite and St. John Bosco). Servite and JSerra battled versus each other Friday night, finishing in an instant Trinity League classic, Servite upsetting JSerra 39 to 38, winning the game on a 2 point conversion after driving the field with under 2 minute remaining. When it comes down to it, week in and week out, the Trinity League is bound to have 3 great matchups, however, not only because of the athletic ability present on the field, but due to the precise accomplishment in making the events enjoyable for people of all ages.
