On September 11th, 2001, four terrorist attacks happened in New York City and the Washington D.C. 19 al-Qaeda terrorists hijacked four passenger airlines and fly into buildings. The twin towers collapsed within two hours because two Boeing 767 airplanes hit the WTC towers. The third plane was flown into the Pentagon and the fourth plane crashed into a field in Pennsylvania. The series of four suicide attacks brought huge economic loss and led to extensive deaths among people. The leader of al-Qaeda, Osama bin laden, was alleged to be responsible for the September 11 attacks even though he denied his involvement quickly. The documentary film, loose change, proves the existence

By using marginalization of opposing views in the film, Director Dylan Avery successfully convinces his audience and proves to people that the collapse of WTC buildings was controlled demolitions, Bin Laden was not involved in organizing the 9/11 attacks, and there was no passenger airlines hit the twin towers or Pentagon.
The first opposing view is that the collapse of WTC buildings was controlled demolitions. The film describes the structure and design of the WTC Towers at first. As we know, the WTC tower was designed with closely spaced columns around its core to strengthen the structure. Due to its redundant design, the building was designed to stand the impact from airlines. John Skilling expressed that if the fuel of airplanes dumped into the building, there might be a huge fire but the building structure would still be there. That is to say, the film persuades its audience to believe that the WTC towers are impossible to destroy by the impact of airplanes. Then the film focuses on the fire to argue that the temperature of fire was not high enough to weaken the building’s structure. Jet fuel burns at the temperature of 800° F to 1500° F,

The film proves that Bin Laden didn’t involve in organizing the 9/11 attacks. As can be seen from the film, the video tape of Bin Laden released by US government was unclear and ambiguous. The transcript was finished by American government and the translated text distorted the original meaning. As long as the video tape of Bin Laden was broadcast through different media, no one would doubt the authenticity of the video and the translated text. It is obvious that the government was trying to deceive people and arose American people’s hatred towards the Muslim countries. In 2001, the technology of the government institution was advanced enough to forge a video. When the public is not wise enough to distinguish the authenticity of news, the government could easily divert the public attention by releasing fake evidences. The fact that American government had no hard evidence of Bin Laden’s involvement in 9/11 attacks was not only admitted in a press conference but also confirmed in a government report. In Muckraker Report, the FBI says that “No hard evidence connecting Bin Laden to 9/11.” The US Secretary Powell said in a press conference that there was no evidence to prove Bin Laden’s involvement with 9/11. However, he appealed that people should trust the

Most believe that the towers could have survived the impact if it weren’t for the ten thousand gallons of jet fuel which made the crash worse. Since steel softens at 1000° F and the towers’ structure was mainly built of steel, the buildings no longer had anything to hold themselves up (Corona 87). It is also believed by most architects and engineers that it was the melting steel structure that initiated the collapse (Corona 91). In order to mend this issue, architects began to combine steel with concrete or other strong, sturdy material (Corona 87). They have learned what improvements are required when designing buildings in order to prevent a huge collapse from happening again.…

Not a whole lot has been written about the 200+ people who committed suicide by jumping from the top of the World Trade Center Towers on September 11, 2001. There was a specific moment, as they held tightly to the windows high up above the New York streets with the relentless heat and smoke drawing closer and closer, that they decided to jump and, in that one moment, they become angels returning to their point of origin. “Falling Man” focuses largely upon the identity of only one of these jumpers shown in a popular picture taken by a man named Richard Drew. “Falling Man” is made up of various rhetorical devices that, sooner or later, give away the arguments that the author has towards the picture. Utilization of rhetoric in “Falling Man” allows…

The terrorist attacks of September 2001 shattered Americas illusion of safety from this type of attack. With a tiny number of people, just 19, terrorists were able to commandeer 4 jet planes and use them as missiles, destroying both buildings of the World Trade Towers, as well as striking the Pentagon. Although there were 2,146 confirmed deaths of the buildings occupants, the devastation could have been much worse. At full capacity, there would have been 25,000 people trying to exit the burning buildings, trampling each other in the panic. The death toll would have potentially been 10 times more devastating than it was (Bose, 2005).…

As a member of UNTSO (United Nations Truce Supervision Organization) this will be addressing the leaders of Al- Qaeda. The conflict between Israel and the Middle East has been going on for many years now. The United States should have been at the middle easts rescue with foreign aid during hardships and famine. The destruction of Iraq’s villages and the killing of multiple innocent Iraqi civilians is unjust and needs to be relieved and compensated. Now that that is said there are some key points that need to be reviewed for example; religious violence, mimetic theory, and identity based in a cosmic war.…
