There are many things in this world that we will never be able to explain. There are things that we probably will never discover. It is a shame then that people keep trying in vain to answer questions that we were perhaps never meant to know. For a small town couple in Alabama, this had to be learned the hard way.

Vicky Thompson was a tan and dark haired girl at the conflicted age of 16. She had deep brown eyes. She loved mud riding and adored her boyfriend, Walt Green. Vicky was what you could call a firebrand, always getting into scuffles with her schoolmates, which would occasionally turn into a physical confrontation. The front office was her home away from home. Walt Green, on the other hand, was quieter and was known to avoid conflicts.

Of course not,” Walt answered her. “There’s no such thing as ghosts.” Perhaps his girlfriend was going crazy. “I wouldn’t say that if I were you,” Vicky chided. “They say that the ghost of Muriel’s great-grandmother haunts the old Bentley farmhouse. "Woah, calm down there," Vicky attempted to console him, feeling surprised by his sudden burst of anger. "We'll find your stone, don't

Walt was the first to notice what had happened. "Look at this!" he interrupted Vicky, who was rambling on about how no one took her seriously and that her legs looked fat when she wore short dresses. Words had appeared on the edge of the hollow. Vicky halted her mindless banter and looked at the words. She read," Let it be known that he who holds the Stone of Argablobicus in his hands has the power to shape the world to his will."

At that moment, the Moonstone started to hum. The hum grew stronger and louder until it throbbed under Vicky's fingers. There was a great shining light, so bright it could burn out your eyeballs if you looked at it directly. As Walt and Vicky shut their eyes against the light, several tall beings materialized in front of them. Walt opened his eyes after a while. What he saw amazed him. They were tall and slender and graceful. Their white skin gleamed like polished ivory. Even more interesting was their pointed ears.

"Wh- what... who the heck are you?" Vicky demanded once she and Walt took a look at the
