Emily just got home from school, “Bye Sarah!” Emily said after waving her off. It was beginning to get dark and she noticed that no one was home. She went to the fridge to look for some food and noticed a sticky note on there, ‘Hey Emily! Me and your father went on a business trip that had to do with selling our friends house. You can go to Sarah’s house whenever but don’t do anything crazy! Love, Mom and Dad.’ Emily got two pop tarts and went up to her room to start on her homework. After she was done she was about to go to sleep since it was already 9:30, but she heard her floorboards creak. I thought no one was home, Emily thought. I tried to make my movement really quiet and it succeed. I went to my neighbors house and knocked the door but no one answered. I wonder what time it is now and if their sleeping but I didn’t give up. I knocked on the door for about 30 seconds until Kathy, my neighbor, opened the door and told me to come in. “Kathy! You have to help me please. There’s someone in my house and I think he escaped from prison!” I cried.
“Oh my goodness! Are you okay, darling? Did you call 911?” She asked me all these questions until she finally called 911 and they came.
The doorbell rang and I opened it without looking through the peep hole because I was expecting the police anyway. I opened the door and to my guess I was right because it was two police officers with their guns out aiming at the ground to be safe. They came in but I immediately stopped them and told them that the guy is still in my house, which is across Kathy’s house. They called for backup and more and more squad cars came and surrounded my house. I was peering at them through Kathy's living room curtains waiting for them to catch the guy.
“WE KNOW YOU ARE IN THERE. COME OUT RIGHT NOW OR IT’LL BE UGLY. I REPEAT COME OUT RIGHT NOW.” One of the officers said through a
