And then she heard her elder sister, Holly. Holly said, “Come on, we need to get to the tornado shelter.” Lily followed her sister down the stairs and out to the shelter.
They stepped inside, and the rest of their family was in there waiting for them, along with their neighbours, the Fullings, on small wooden benches set up in the shelter. “Oh, you guys are here too?” Lily asked the Fullings. They nodded. She sat down on the cold stone floor with her sister.

She could see benches in the shelter being knocked over, she could hear screaming, and she could feel the wind blowing in her hair. Then she felt herself hitting the floor.
For one brief second, she thought it was all a dream. Then she realized she was on the floor, being shaken by her sister. “Wake up!” Holly screamed.
She stood up, looking around. The whole place looked ruined. Everyone’s hair was all over the place, and they were all looking worried. “Does anyone k-know if anything h-happened to the house?” she asked in a trembling voice.
“No, but I think the tornado is gone, so you might wanna take a look,” Holly said.
Lily peered outside. She could see trees knocked all over the place, along with fences, but she didn't see anything wrong with the house. She sighed with relief. “Should we start repairing everything else?” she asked. Everyone nodded. It seemed nobody else wanted to speak after what had happened.
She ran into the house, looking for some nails and hammers. She put them all in a box and carried them outside. She looked at all the things the tornado had destroyed. She then thought that everyone needed to rest after what happened, and it could wait until
