Have you ever witnessed a traumatizing event? If so, you may have witnessed 9/11. 9/11 was a terrorist attack against the United States from Al - Qaeda. This was a shocking moment. 9/11 killed 2,996 people and wounded nearly 6,000 others during the beginning, middle, and end.
Before 9/11, the nation was relaxed, and a terrorist group name Al - Qaeda was forming. Before this event George W. Bush was our president. Also, our security wasn’t ready for what was about to happen, no one was. First off, it was a lot easier to get on the plane. For example, it maybe took 30 minutes to get through the security check. Also, the cockpit was open for anyone to get into, which made it easy for the suicide terrorists that caused 9/11. Now it takes at least 1 hour to get through security. Next, the American government didn’t know Al - Qaeda was forming in the Middle East. Al - Qaeda is a terrorist group with a leader who was Osama bin Laden. Who later called 9/11 “A Blessed day!” Additionally, Al - Qaeda wanted all of Saudi Arabia all to themselves so they tried to get all of the U.S troops out of Saudi Arabia because they were one of the main things keeping Al - Qaeda out of claiming Saudi Arabia.
