“Help! There is a bad man in my house and I think he hurt daddy. Daddy was screaming.” a young girl worriedly spoke into the phone.
“Sweetie where is your mom?” Kayla had a bad feeling about this call and anxious for the answer the shaken young girl was about to give.

“I need an officer at 6542 Hilton Dr., burglary with a child involved!” Kayla shouted into her dispatch. The gleaming smile from her sister’s picture was all Kayla could focus her eyes on, the promise to protect was racing through her mind.
“The police officers are going to be there soon honey, but I need you to listen to me, okay? I need you to lock yourself in a room and hide. What’s your name sweetheart?” The words weren’t coming out of Kayla’s mouth fast
