Tuesday, September,11,2001 for many this was a normal old Tuesday. But this wasn't any old Tuesday this was marked as one of the worst tragedy on American soil since the attacks on Peral Harbor. This day also shaped the way on how American respond to terrorist attacks by creating two new organizations Homeland Security an also the creation of the TSA and also this marked the day that American Troops being sent to Afghanistan an Iraq. On this Day a group of Al-Qade terrorists hijacked four planes with two of those planes were heading right to the World Trade Center in New York City in the business district of New York. These planes were all based at Logan Airport in Boston, Massachusetts. The first plane was American Airlines flight 11 and was on route to Los Angeles …show more content…
Unfortunately, these flights wouldn't make it as Al-Qade terrorist hijacked the flight and redirected the planes into the Twin Towers. The third and fourth plane was also hijacked by Al-Qada terrorist and they each had separate, targets. The third’s target was the pentagon and the flight was on hijacked mid flight and then crashed into the pentagon. The last plane, no one really knows where it was heading some speculated that it was either the White House or the US Capital building. This plane was later discover to be in Stonecreek,Township near Shanksville,Pennsylvania. Following the attacks in New York and Pennsylvania, US president George W.Bush respond to the attacks and proposed that American troops go over to Afghanistan an Iraq also he proposed two new organizations Homeland Security and the Transportation Security Administration or TSA. What the Homeland Security does it helps protect us as a country in case of terrorist attacks or were in a state of emergency. The TSA does something very similar but they help protect us when in
