Description of the Topic Conspiracies theories are not uncommon occurrences in today’s society. In fact, they surround a vast majority of historical events and beliefs. The problem with a conspiracy is it affects our nation in many negative ways. Conspiracies distract our Nation from moving forward, due to added investigations to debunk certain claims. Conspiracies create the belief that misinformation has been given in hope to achieve an overall consensus of the historical event. Conspiracies also create violent attacks within our nation and have led to serious threats to our National Security. One of the conspiracies that fit into these categories today is the terrorist attack on September 11, 2001. Today let’s take a deeper look into these conspiracies, to obtain a better understanding why people believe in conspiracies and their effects on the United States.
