Due to the major hit airlines took, the had to be some changes. People became scared to fly, which scared companies because they didn’t want their business to go under. Although they were receiving federal loans from the government, their initial request was cut by over half. Since the attack happened on an airplane, airlines knew people were going to be terrified to fly again. They knew 9/11 was going to take a major toll on the industry but they had no other choice but to push through. They had employees counting on them to keep them employed so they could support their families, along with people still needing to travel for business and even the people brave enough to travel for pleasure.
