On 9/11 four commercial jets were hijacked two hit the twin towers, one hit the pentagon and one was supposed to hit the White House, but was heroically taken back by the passengers and went down in a field in Pennsylvania. This act of terrorism was the first terrorist attack committed by people who were not from the USA. The terrorist attack was a major cause of the war in afghanistan. It was committed by the terrorist group al qaeda and was orchestrated by Osama bin Laden. There were 16 terrorists on the planes altogether. 343 firefighters helped during the terrorist attacks.
