Please wait for me to catch up to reality. Trust me, I’m trying, but when life moves as fast as it does, it becomes too late and I miss out on yet again another possibility. This year I decided to challenge myself academically. I made the decision of taking four AP classes and math analysis so, to say the least it has been a difficult journey. In addition, out of all the classes I took I struggled the most with AP Chemistry. The material is pretty difficult to understand, even after spending a couple hours to review my notes some things would still be a little blurry. I was failing my test.…

Over the course of English 102, I have developed a new set of skills and learned to become a better writer. When I first came into English 102 I struggled with many different concepts of writing. During the semester in English 102, my writing became stronger because I learned how to incorporate evidence into my argument, do more thorough research, have smoother transitions, and have more organization throughout my essay. I learned how to peer review better and to take what others say and incorporate it into my essay. In the beginning, before English 102, I struggled with good organization and flow to an essay, sandwich evidence into paragraphs, and having strong arguments in persuasive essays.…

Title Enrolling the EOF program has lighten up a path in life that would have gone completely undiscovered had I walked alone. Along the path was my introduction to college writing, a class that has improved my writing skills profoundly. At first the tasks given to us on the syllabus seemed daunting, almost insurmountable within the five-week period of the program; it seemed even more inconceivable with the class being only twice a week. However, with the guidance and instruction given to me by the professor and peers I was able to strengthen my work as a student.…

There is one central element that I have learned by participating in this social problems course that I found essential to understanding sociology. The common aspect that was presented in about every discussion board topic for this course as a possible solution was education. Without the proper understanding and education for each topic that was provided for us to analyze, I would not have been able to accurately evaluate the various social problems we encountered throughout the semester. This course helped broaden my concepts and ideas that I can use to now use to improve my sociological imagination and apply them to other social problems I might encounter in future courses.…
