8th Class Analysis

“What if the teacher doesn’t like me, what if I say something wrong and he thinks I’m stupid, what if…”, I often asked myself these questions coming into 8th grade honors English which had simply struck me in the eye with a compulsion of fear. I often thought that this year would be like all years of English in my life; I struggle to find the motivation I need to write and sustain my grades, which ranged most commonly through a B+ to an A-, but this year/quarter is like no other, it’s my year to uplift my sensation of wanting to express myself through hundreds and thousands of words that pop up in my fundamental and innovative state of mind. My drastic change in perspective of the English subject had simply started with my emotional revolution, whether this year would be different or if it would be like any other English year, but everything was different this year, it was the grand opening of Mr. Royal’s comforting and soothing words of wanting us to improve to the multi-media we have drawn a bridge of connections to, for example, Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keyes to even the stories we have read that are in the horror genre which I simply thought were impossible to find a fundamental statement from. …show more content…
