Most of the time when I would try to be around the kids in my class, most of them would start making fun of me, telling me to leave while saying some inappropriate things that don’t need to be said. Luckily for me, a few of the upper classmen seen that I had pretty much no friends in my life, so a few of them befriended me. This allowed my two years at this school to become a little more enjoyable. Some of these people are still to this day some of my best friends. This was definitely a blessing in my life because they really helped keep me from totally becoming a worthless person even though I still was in plenty of ways.…

Transitioning from a private school to public school was probably one of the hardest things I have ever had to adapt to because of how different and how surreal the environment was. The most difficult part of this transitioning was finding a group of friends, or at least a friend, where I can be with and feel comfortable with. I was put at a disadvantage because everyone already knew each other from their public…

Moving schools away from all of my friends should’ve been an appalling experience, surprisingly, it was a blessing in disguise. I went to Agnes Baptist Elementary from kindergarten to 5th grade and I had friends that I've known since I was 3. I loved it there and knew the school like the back of my hand. Everything was superior, like most good things, though there were times where they weren’t, I was harassed by a bully almost everyday, my grades were getting inadequate, and my mom didn’t want me to be a sad, disconsolate 7th grader at a new junior high. In the result, I moved and I went to Savage Middle School, a school that had 6th, 7th, and 8th graders.…

Middle school is an inevitable phase of many of our lives. It is also a very memorable time- for both good and bad reasons. Yet, we all somehow manage to strive through no matter how tough the year gets. For me, at first, none of the typical horrifying middle school stereotypes fit how my sixth grade year was going. I had plenty of friends, understood my classes, and I didn’t appear to be too awkward.…

My lack of knowledge of the language was one of my biggest challenges. Also, I did not know anyone in the United States, except for my family members at home, so it was really hard for me to make new friends. At Kealing Middle School, my very first day of eighth grade was the hardest day of my life. Everything was different: the language, the signs on the walls, the building, the food, the teachers, the classes, and especially the people around the school. The environment was crowded, and everyone seemed to be happy except for me.…

Senior Year My greatest memory so far in my eighteen years of being on this earth is without a doubt my senior year of high school. It was absolutely unforgettable. My senior year as a whole (which was just last year) was the most fun I’ve ever had in my life and the happiest I have ever been. When I was a chubby little freshman with glasses I thought to myself that high school would be one of the longest time periods of my life and that four years would feel like forty years. But man was I wrong, high school went by in the blink of an eye.…
