715 The Lord has really done a work in me. I have had a very significant personal breakthrough and
716 victory! This weekend, He has been showing me some things. The Lord said to me that the first five
717 weeks of adjusting here have been another boot camp. I didn’t expect another boot camp. And this
718 boot camp has been harder than any I’ve been through before. I’ve had culture shock, physical
719 conditions shock, climate shock, food shock, and language shock. Because of this, I started thinking
720 about home, how nice and comfortable things are there, about all the conveniences that I enjoyed,

722 year); and I was missing it, even

The Spirit was still strong on me, and before we started eating I
737 began prophesying over Reuben and Barbara. Then I ministered to and prophesied over Barbara
738 alone. There was something that I didn’t know was troubling her heart, and the Lord ministered to
739 her. She began crying and she was ministered to by the Word of the Lord.

740 After dinner, we went to the school/chapel to have prayer, and after a few minutes, I told Reuben

741 that the Spirit of God was still stirring in me, and the Lord wanted to say some things. So at the right
742 time, the Spirit of God moved on me, and I prophesied over the Bible school that there will be a fire
743 seen over the Bible school, and people would be coming to the school from all over Vanuatu when

744 they hear of the move of God. The Lord had some awesome things to say. He also wanted to minister

745 to each of the students, so I began exhorting them and then laid hands on them. The Lord had words
746 of knowledge and words of wisdom for each one of the students.
747 Then we entered into worship, and the Spirit of God moved. Rachel and Barbara were hit with
748 laughter and rolled on the floor. I know that God continued to minister healing to Barbara. It was

    1) In this Ignatian Guided Meditation I was able to use my imagination in the form of a prayer. During this prayer I was able to listen and reflect on a bible passage, as well as have a one-on-one conversation with Jesus. While listening to the bible passage from the story of Luke 5:17-20, I was able to imagine myself as one of the people in the story. The story was about how Jesus was able to heal people. Jesus is teaching a group of pharisees and teachers of the law when a group of men carry a paralyzed man into the room on a bed.…

Give examples of how the practice of ministry has affected your experience and understanding of A) God At the core of my understanding of God is a God of love in covenantal relationship with God’s children. Romans 8:38-39 says it well; “For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” The practice of ministry has only proven to strengthen that belief. I was called early Saturday morning to sit with a family who had just learned of the death of their daughter/granddaughter in a vehicle accident.…

I believed he had taken care of my anger and so I came out of my room. I realized that I needed to obey God and follow His exact plan for my life, not my own plan, so I accepted the Holy Spirit. Also during my teen years, in the summer, I was able to go to the Old Orchard Camp of The Missionary Alliance in Maine. Dr. A. B. Simpson would always preach and share the word of God. Although I would sometimes feel sleepy, I would try my hardest to stay…

Life is an ongoing challenge and gift that was given to humanity; both a gift and a curse we must struggle through the turmoil of this world and try to find the brightside. We are shaped by experiences, molded by our emotions and surroundings until our final days. Orleana, a woman who grew up in the great depression in a little town called pearl, endured many trials and tribulations throughout her lifetime. The era in which she was brought up was one of great religious revival, and the overwhelming in-pour of traveling preachers in Pearl was a factor that would impact her life in a way that she would only later realize. She would meet a man, the ever-religious Nathan price, who would sway her towards marriage along with the pressure of her…

Leadership on the line by Ronald A. Heifetz and Marty Linksys is a very timely book. Maggie’s description of her Indian community and the effects of alcohol made me think of many urban communities and the pain that lurks in those communities. The stories she shares about Lois and the heart she had for her community and desire to make it better make you think we need more leaders like that. Lois leadership inspired me because she saw something wrong in her community she believed she could bring change. Lois is a good picture of servanthood she doesn’t sit and think someone should so something…

One of my first best friends was a girl named Stephanie who is two years my junior. She lives just outside my neighborhood, so we rode the same school bus in elementary and middle school. When she was in kindergarden and I was in second grade, she invited me to sit with her on the bus, and because I have always been a rule-follower, I was reluctant to move seats. Stephanie and I grew very close, and I cherish the aspects of myself I learned about during our friendship.…

Here is where I felt the need of God, because I was going through a tough time with my grandma being dead and not wanting to talk about it. Though I had my parents for support I needed more and for the first time I had turned to God. Through my Grandma’s death I knew God was going to be in my life for the rest of my life, and also believe he led me to attend my junior retreat. During mass, reconciliation, group discussions about personal stories, and even free time at the retreat, I felt as if God was always with me.…
