Not giving up is what we have to keep in mind. Tinesha Cherry most definitely did not give up on anything that she already had her mind set on. Growing up she had one of the toughest childhoods, because she battled with everything life obstacle that you can think of.
She starts her book on this introduction of her life basically titling it “nobody came for me.” From my understanding of this chapter her mother was the beginning of all her troubles. When a person is going through something you have to look at where they come from. No one person acts on a situation just because. Nine times out of ten everything starts at home, if they are not taught not to do such things then what other way are they to know. Of course by now you are probably wondering, well if they aren’t taught it they still shouldn’t do it anyway, but everyone’s mindset isn’t the same.
