The beginning of the book starts by talking about people and how they may have great success in their lives but there is a underlying struggle with nurturing relationships with others. It goes into how we each have our own way of seeing things and when others often don't see or agree with the things we say that we get defensive and think that there has to be something wrong with that person to think that way. We need to take into account other peoples perceptions and look at the bigger picture. I think that the way Stephen talks about his own experiences with his wife and son that it gives us a more personal touch and can really put a vision to some of the things he talks about. The book talks about the seven habits and the first one is to be proactive. You make any progress you need to take initiative and be ready to make a change. I like the way the author really connects with you and is almost empowering you to want to start using what the book is telling you and use it in your everyday life. Stephen gives us examples of language that could be taken as defeat or that you have no power in a situation. I like the first habit because when i was growing …show more content…

There are several different dimensions that we need to follow, starting with the physical dimensions like eating healthy and keeping our bodies in tip top shape, second is the mental dimension, tell ourselves we can and stay positive. All of the other habits lead up to the last couple and really put everything
