The Grandview middle school to have more sports for the 6th grade. Why I think the 6th grade should have sports in 6th grade.”I feel angry;Ifeel left out. The policy says the are simply to young to go up againist other schools. But that accolade doesn’t matter to Caporaso and other 6th gradersat different schools who want to play competative sports. Like baseball, soccer, basket ball, track, and cross country, those are some of my favorite sports. 6th grade should feel and want to play sports that we can’t play.

Discovering the Music of Protest There is perhaps no epidemic in America worse then the racism and discrimination black people have face since the creation of this “free” nation. A shameful secret that the American government still barely acknowledged but a very real problem that has only grown with time with police murdering innocent black men, women and children, and the more recent event of having a raging racist elected as the USA’s new president. That is why I have decided to write my essay on “Strange Fruit” by Abel Meeropol performed most famously by Billie Holiday. “Strange Fruit” is perhaps the most iconic protest song in recent memory. With a haunting piano intro followed by Billie Holiday’s shaking voice this song shot to fame being nominated for a bevy of awards, and for good reason, it lingers in your mind the lyrics and it pulls no punches, telling the story of those who died these painful deaths without the rose coloured glasses historians like describe it as.…

Throughout many generations, ice cream has been one of the most delectable treats known to man. However, the reason why people choose to buy a particular flavorful brand is dependent on the marketing presentation the company chooses to present, primarily ads. Ads produced by large-scale corporations must compete with other ads for its consumers through many techniques of style. Ben & Jerry’s and Magnum share many of the same styles in similar, but different ways.…

Our schools sports are very exciting to watch, though the students who are playing could have low grades such as D’s or even F’s. Believing in the quote “academics come before athletics” is one to listen to. Keeping higher grade expectations can help students with their future such as getting a job or holding responsibility. Despite the new outburst of year-round schooling across the nation, I have the firm belief that we should retain the traditional system. Most schools who have switched to the year round calendar switched back to the traditional one because the anticipated instructional advantages haven’t materialized. In some cases, it even results in a drop of one to two percentile points in national rank for reading, math, and language scores, compared to a traditional calendar. It is not a good idea to keep making this change.…

Because the county already does most of the work. 1st if the school boards would be removed then the county would have to decide the school's finances, school unions, school closings and learning materials. 2nd schools would have more options because the countries should have the same budget for each school so they could not give a school more or less money.…
