Process Paper

For the 60’s coached project, I didn't have an exact idea of what Michael and I wanted to do. At first, we were gonna do the Selma march but we both felt as if we wouldn't finish in time. Michael wanted to decorate the lobby and have like a church scene and give speeches but I felt uncomfortable because I have stage fright with certain parts like leading the crowd like, etc. So we had trouble sticking to an idea but two weeks before the project is do, I came up with the idea of Disney because I didn't wanna do a sad project and also because I was inspired by this YouTube channel called Buzzfeed which had a video of different Disney princesses but historically accurate like Snow White came out in 1937 and it represented mid

We decided to choose movies that everyone knew and love because it will interest them more. I chose Marry Poppins, Cruella DEVILLE, Aurora, and prince Phillip, roger from 101 dalmatians, etc. I uncovered a lot about the symbolism about all the movies I chose. For instance, Mary Poppins was accidentally turned into the original Disney feminist film. Although she worked in a feminine profession, she was also a strong woman with a strong message. The year 1964, Title 7 of the Civil Rights movement banned the employment discrimination based on sex and even in the movie she sang about woman's suffrage. In the first song of the movie she said, “ We're clearly soldiers in petticoats and dauntless crusaders for women votes.” Then we did jungle book research. At first, I thought it represented hippies to me because Mowgli represented peace and nature but we later found out it was deeper than that especially with racism.
There was a lot of technical difficulties in the green screen because Michael and I didn’t take enough time to edit the green screen.
This was my first time doing a project Disney related and I didn’t know how to edit goo but iMovie ended up working on my iPad. When I first started using iMovie I didn’t really like it because it didn’t give me enough options
