Boardwalk on Bulverde celebrated their 5th Anniversary in January 2015 and July will mark the 5th year that they have been bringing San Antonio amazing events that feature food trucks serving food from all over the world! Boardwalk on Bulverde will host the 5th Annual Food Truck Throwdown Friday July 24th through Sunday July 26th. A portion of the proceeds from this family friendly food festival will benefit the San Antonio Food Bank and every $1 donated will help them provide 7 meals in our community. Admission to the 5th Annual Food Truck Throwdown is FREE, but donations of non-perishable food items will be accepted and the public is encouraged to support the San Antonio Food Bank as they fight hunger in our local community and throughout …show more content…
Also featured will be Chilito’s Express Latin Fusion Kitchen, Philly’s Phamous, G Bros. Chicago Style Pizza, Jimbo’s Slice of Heaven, Smoke The Truck, Gilbo’s Grill, Mr. Fish, Ain’t Ya Momma’s Pie, Squares Food Truck and Sir-Wacha (Saturday & Sunday only). Adults can enjoy ice cold Miller Lite beverages from Glazer’s Distributors. Friday evening DJ Quake will entertain the crowd and live music on Saturday includes Marqell at 3pm and Kerosene Drifters at 6pm. The 5th Annual Food Truck Throwdown is sponsored by Cruising Kitchens and Miller Lite. Hours are Friday July 24th from 6pm to 11pm, Saturday 12 noon to 11pm and Sunday 12 noon to 8pm. Boardwalk on Bulverde was San Antonio’s first food truck park, opened by parent company Cruising Kitchens in 2010. The pet-friendly venue is located at 14732 Bulverde Road in San Antonio between Thousand Oaks Drive and Loop 1604. They are open seasonally and this is one of their many food-centric events. The recently renovated venue features a brand new playscape for kids, a school bus arcade, washers and a basketball hoop. Cruising Kitchens is one of the world’s leading food truck manufacturers, offering the most most state-of-the-art technology in the industry. Their projects have expanded far beyond traditional food trucks, recently building a Mobile Mercado for the San Antonio Food Bank.
