The cost spent on schools may be slightly more than the other focuses, considering that jazz is not popular within students but they are the future and a crucial part for the music to stay alive. Educational programs could be established, inviting jazz musicians to teach students the beauty of the music and share experience, while recruiting new blood and finding talent at the same time. I will probably invest less money in recording and archiving, where this is the focus that could be executed by establishing more partnerships to help with the task, and may not be fully executed by ourselves before the company is well recognized and significant enough in the realm of jazz. I will counter propose the same deal asking them to showcase American jazz artists at their event as well, or take a different approach and ask one of their executives in the organization to talk on our panel, and offer one of our executives to talk on their panels instead.
The APAP deal will be less awkward though, since it fits more reasonably with our mission, but I will still counter propose the same deal I will offer Canadian music week to get more exposure, but take the original deal from APAP if the answer is a no. Both are all great exposure opportunities, the limit is on how many openings do I have on my conference, and the manpower I have to manage and execute all these deals.
5c) BARTER IMPACT/VALUE
Our brand will be more exposed and know by more people if we make deals with either of the two organizations, which increases the visibility within the public and making Jazz America more established. By creating long term promotion value on the brand with the exchange of plane tickets and accommodation fees, these deals will make us easier to make partnerships, increase the amount of members and make it easier to fulfill my mission in the long run, which are values one cannot really put a price
