In five years’ time, I predict that I will be in my third year of university. I see myself enrolled in a Medical or Health Sciences program to obtain a bachelor degree which I learned is necessary for Medical School based on my research for the Exploring Educational Resources Assignment. To make this plan come to life, I am currently taking the course requirements for this program in my top three universities, namely: The University of Western Ontario, Waterloo University and McMaster University. These courses include: Grade 12 University Level credits in Advanced Functions, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and 2 other additional university or mixed credits.
Currently I am leaning towards Waterloo University because of their co-op program. If that is the case in five years’ time, I will have ended my third year of school around this period and beginning my third round of co-op. This university program is competitive, so to qualify and develop important life skills, I am currently volunteering in a Nursing home, and I am taking co-op in the summer of my Grade 11 year. From my research, I understand that the first few years are somewhat hectic but I believe that it will work out well. I believe that I will continue my practice in Canada, because the prospective of physicians in this country is quite good. I might however, move to a different city because London is a nice city, but it is rather quiet and small. In addition, there aren’t as many job opportunities in London. If I do move cities, it probably won’t be to a densely populated city like Toronto, but somewhere not too underpopulated either. As I continue my profession, I hope to settle down, get married and by God’s grace buy a house without much delay. I will need to learn to balance my work with my family
