The way I see it everyone has a 'who am I' or a 'who do I want to be' phase. For some people this phase can happen in grade school, for others it could happen after something tragic ,and for some it just never happens. No one wants to regret their choices in life. They want to cherish every single moment. Yet, some people think rushing through life, will solve everything. They rush to get into college, to get a job, to find a person to start a family with, and to please everyone. This not the right way to go through life. People should take their time to figure out what they want to be, and never settle for anything less. I learned this through a band called 5 Seconds of Summer. This band has taught me so much like no matter how impossible your dream is it can be a achieved. Or you have to work hard and cannot give up. And even that being different from everyone is okay, and that "it’s okay not to be okay". 5 Seconds of Summer have helped me find out who I am and who I want to be. …show more content…

When I read about how he dropped out of school for his dream I started hoping that I could take a risk like that for something I loved. It inspired me to try harder in school and even if it seem like things aren't going to get better they will turn around in the

In the short story “Janus” by Ann Beattie we learn about our desires and dislikes with life through the character of Andrea and her ceramic bowl. Beattie heavily enunciates Andrea’s obsession with the bowl through the use of literary devices of symbolism, allegory, and tone. For my last twenty four hours, I would spend with my brothers; Bryce, Weston and Quinn, since we all love to go off-roading I would go buy jacked up mud racing trucks and tear up our favorite minimum maintenance roads around the outskirts of Humboldt. The reason I chose to bring my three brothers is because they all love to do some type of off-roading, so I thought they would be part of my last day. I chose Bryce because his favorite thing to do is offroading, when he has spare time he goes outback behind our house and tears up the slough.…
