Significance of the 5 pillars
Thus, Islam beliefs and practices are included in the Five Pillars of Faiths (discussed above). For example, the first pillar deals with the faith issues (i.e. loving God, etc.), while the other four pillars are more about practicing the faith and living their faith in everyday life such things as prayer, eating habits, fasting, keeping the religious festivals and giving alms to the needy. However, they are very much interrelated. For example, the last pillar is the pilgrimage to Makkah where people ask for God's forgiveness, which is seen as a preview of the Judgment Day, which is one of the six central beliefs of Islam

For example, Christians display their belief through a statement called a creed, which says that they believe in one God (Nye, 105). While Muslims do profess belief in Allah, Islam goes against the common assumption that all religions prioritize belief. Rather, Muslims emphasize works over belief, also known as orthopraxy. Islam demonstrates this alternate core component through profession, both publicly and privately, of their submission to God, the Five Pillars, and various laws.…
