As all the Kings, explorers, and business financers had hoped, the Americas were full of opportunities to make money. Gold, silver, and other minerals could be mined, and tobacco, sugar, and other crops could be grown on plantations. In order to make use of these resources there would have to be a reliable supply of laborers to do the work. The Native American population had dwindled due to disease and war and did not provide enough labor. However, the Europeans had access to another cheap labor market that already existed, the African Slave Trade. -- Historical Context

You also had no control over anything like you had no control over how much you worked, no control over yourself, no control over anybody really. As a slave you could not own property. Also how long you worked or wanted to work was not up to you but up to your master. The slaves could not choose what they wanted to do with their lives because the slave status was inherited. With African Slave Trade coming alive this allowed for serious and severe consequences to come and harm many, if not all, slaves. –Documents 2 & 3 When the Europeans captured or kidnapped the slaves and brought them to America these slaves had to indoor many horrible living conditions on the ship when being transferred to the Americas (North America). The slaves were very close together or packed in and which resulted in it being extremely hot. This only added to the number (hundreds) of slaves had very little room to move. This resulted in lots of sweating which made the air not smell right to breathe because of horrible smells and they had the deal with
