I have chosen to focus on 5.3A because this is an indicator that I plan to focus on next year. This year, I would rate myself a 2.5 out of 4 on this indicator because I feel there is significant room to improve on these practices. Although I have helped student use various resources to create goals for the future, I have not focused on helping them self advocate for the attainment of such nor follow through on these goals throughout the entire year. Many of my students create goals and never make a plan for how they will realistically obtain them. In the future, I hope to encourage students to monitor their goals more closely and help them follow through on said goals throughout the entire year.
