4H: A Personal Report

Decent Essays
I didn't get a chance to mention it, but I'm also heavily involved in 4H and have been for over nine years. I have been in three 4H clubs, and am still active in two of those. One of which is a rabbit and small animal club and the other is a dog 4H club. I show, breed, and work with rabbits, along with teaching younger, newer members how to handle, worth with, and show their animals. I have been doing this for all of my time in 4H and have held many positions in this club, including five years as president, one year as secretary, and one year as health and safety. This club is truly like a family to me and I've highly enjoyed my time with them, especially the time I was able to lead the club, and the time I get to help teach the younger members

Why are you applying for this position? I think the new member education program is essential for the transitioning new sister in determining if Delta Zeta is the right fit for her. If the process goes the way it is supposed to, it will make the young women excited to wake up and call herself a sister in our chapter. For myself, it’s crucial to be a part of changes that influenced yourself in some way. For just going through the process myself, I think the program was great; however, I want to be a part of the team to make it even better.…

The four corners report is aimed at the adult population as it contains a lot of substance and is not produced purely for entertainment. It is a lot drier than the stories you would see on a commercial TV channel. Viewers of this program would watch it in order to educate themselves about the Church of Scientology and their practices. Viewers would need to be fairly educated in order for them to be able to follow along with the story being present to them due to it’s dry nature. The Ex Files Four Corners report was aired on the ABC.…

As a possible incoming student, who not only desires to, but needs to learn and attend a favorable campus, the things that I can offer and/or bring are my experiences and skills. I will try to help enrich the campus community as much as I can. Although, my experiences and interests may be easily overlooked by some because of the simple fact that I am “only seventeen,” and that everyone is still continuously evolving. I believe I can still bring something to only help enrich the community. A particular experience that I know differentiates from others is, being Hmong.…

Throughout high school, I have been involved in many activities. I started off with the STEM academy in my high school. In the STEM academy, we held special events that teach people, especially kids, about new experiments and science-related careers. Throughout my years of high school, I have been involved in numerous volunteer opportunities that have given me different experiences. I have done everything from sitting outside Walmart in 10 degree weather in mid December raising money for UNICEF, to laughing while playing connect four with senior citizens in local nursing homes. However, one of the most meaningful things I have done has been volunteering in my town’s VFW post. My passion for helping those at the VFW stemmed from my entrance into the National Honor Society, and since then, it has grown to be one of my favorite volunteer activities. I am currently the NHS Chairperson for the VFW dinners that occur every friday from September to May.…
