I was impressive to watch “44 Plays for 44 Presidents” created by CU Department of Theatre. This show represents the specific stories of every previous president of the United State from their personal lives. The stories are visualized through actors with 44 different characteristics in short length of time or approximately 4 minutes. Based on the entire play, I would recommend CU Theatre’s production of 44 Plays for 44 Presidents because it has the awesome design elements, especially lighting and sound, and also great performance in the show.
The strength of the show is the lighting and sound playing through specific time. Generally, I have never watched any play and also had no idea what would be in the theatre before watching. I was surprised in many parts of the show that have presented lighting. It helped to focus and concentrate each scene and what the actors want to express. To illustrate,

At the end of the show, there was very important part, which is, telling audiences for the result of voting before entering to the theatre. It reflected the current situation of society with the next president voting to audiences to encourage people’s attitudes of politics. The result showed that Hillary Clinton would be the next president of the United Stated. It is not biased, but just prediction from audience’s consensus that every person has to accept respectively. It was also a funny time to attract audience to involve the show. Actually, the voting is not only a funny participation of the theatre, but also reminding our social responsibility for the voting of the next president. The actors also told us to not forget to register to vote because the America future is on our hand voters. I had a really wonderful time with this play and would say with other people to

All I can say is, the story had somewhat of a quicker pace and sometimes harder to follow and small details could easily be missed, and the lighting was a tiny bit distracting when it flashed across the stage quickly. The use of sound effects was used to signify different things that caught the attention of the viewers and really added a special touch to the play. The play showcased beautiful and stunning singing which made the play more authentic, combined with the elaborate dances numbers truly made the show breathtaking and…

I was extremely excited to watch Brooklyn College’s rendition of Speech and Debate. The reasoning behind my excitement was that whilst reading the play written by Stephan Karam, I quickly realized that it’s humor and authenticity were aspects that I typically enjoy to a great extent in stories, whether that be in the form of a television show, movie, or play. I also felt that I was readily prepared to watch the show meticulously and focus on its acting and casting aspects. I chose the acting facet of the production to be the focal point of my review yet again because I understand that I could have pushed further and been more detail oriented when writing my previous review. Brooklyn College’s Speech and Debate had a small cast of four actors.…

I cannot remember a moment of my life where theatre has not been important for me. Being involved from a young age, I was destined to be on stage. It was not until I entered high school when I realized how difficult theatre can be; actors cannot go on stage without understanding the play, designers cannot outline anything without the proper information, and a director cannot direct without a grasp on the themes and ideas of the show. It all comes down to the research for the production. Without this literacy practice of research, no one can put on the literacy event of a performance.…

In the article is states “ those who haven’t mastered the art of entertainment, …. They become unreal.” People that are involved in Political Theater need to have this skill because people who don’t have it are nonexistent. I think what this is trying to say is that people who don’t have this skill will be forgotten, or no one will pay attention to them. People will take advantage of this skill because they will use it and people won’t understand what is going on.…
