4 Year Olds Observation

The second procedure was done to see if 3 and 4 year olds would trust a speaker once they were proven unreliable. Twenty 3 year olds and twenty three 4 year olds were included in this study, and taken from the same local school as the first group. This procedure started the same way as the first study. They used the exact warm-up and introductory phase. Next, the resting phase began where children watched an animated video for two minutes. The main point and difference is that the speaker’s reliability is unknown for the children. Speaker one and two did the exact labeling as done in procedure one. They each labeled some objects reliable and other objects unreliable. Similarly, the both labeled each of the novel objects with the work koba.
