Great post Katherine, especially on our four legged animals. The family gets so excited about the baby that they tend to forget the 4 legged friend in our family. Our dog was part of the family long before we started having our babies. So when I found out I was pregnant we needed to find ways to get the animal used to having children around. We started asking friends over that had babies to get our dog accustom to having a baby around. Having babies around got our dog used to the baby crying, we got a rocking chair and a swing for the baby, we rock the chair and turned the swing on so the dog could get used the sound of the swing.
