If I were the owner of a small residential construction company, specializing in framing, I would consider the following. I would begin by first going over the blueprints to determine in what order the house will be constructed. Once that is decided, I hire 10 to 15 people to assist in construction. I then would select 1 or 2 as crew leaders to assist in implementing each area of construction. It is common in the construction industry to have a large Hispanic employee population so it would be helpful to include someone who speaks Spanish.
Once the hiring is complete then jobs responsibilities are assign based on experience and knowledge. Each employee must be able to work efficiently and effectively. Throughout the day it is my responsibility to make sure the construction is going as planned. Before construction is complete I line up future work based on an estimation of completion of current construction.
