4-7 Week Of Pregnancy

Decent Essays
I am going to politely disagree with you on this one. A baby has formed a heartbeat around the 4-7 week of pregnancy. I know that many people handle situations differently, but terminating my own child would devastate me. From my personal opinion and knowing how I handle things, terminating my OWN child would probably make me super depressed and effect me in the worst ways possible. I know that I would be depressed, upset, and angry at myself for a long time knowing that practically murdered my own child.

There are many things in life that are thought to be good for some people, but bad for others. A great example that represents the dissoi logoi is abortion. Abortion is the ending of pregnancy by removing a fetus or embryo from the womb before it can survive on its own. This procedure can happen through medication or the fetus can be surgically removed.…

It robs its victim of more than anything else could. As fetuses have a future that is like that of any adult human, aborting a pregnancy is depriving them of that future and therefore, must be morally wrong. This is known as the valuable future view and can be summarized in the following argument, The Valuable Future Argument. Merely six weeks into a pregnancy the heart of the fetus begins to beat. By that point it can be considered alive. Pro-choice activists will argue that women have the right to choose whether or not to terminate the life of this child because it resides inside the woman’s body. While it is the right of the woman to do what she wants with her own body, that should not make it constitutional for a woman to end someone’s life. Except in cases of rape, the woman has chosen to have sex, whether or not she is ready to have a child.…
