Leadership,

3D1X2 is a big career field and split up into many shops. Because of this we rely on each other to accomplish the mission. However! Some of us are trained in many aspect of this career field and although we know how to perform the mission of the other shops and volunteer to do so in order to make the communication squadron more efficient we are told to stand down.

Me being prior Network Integration and 1 of 2 military part of the BITI upgrade that installed/updated all 370 networks on base in 7 months. I learned the ins and outs of the new equipment and was ready to teach it to all the others in the shop to be more effective. I was then moved to another shop without me ever having the time to teach the others in the shop and

And that I was willing to act as a network liaison for Voice Control to fix the system at hand and provide better customer satisfaction. I have been told that to stand down and that I will not be granted network access to better access the communication squadron because I need to learn my job at hand. I feel as though I have gone above and beyond learning my job. I have read the DISACS. I have read over 1000 pages of DWDM. I have trained those in the shop who have been here for a way longer period of time. I have acquired free outside training for our shop to be more productive. I have given follow up training. I have helped build the plan for future enhancements. I have done this in a short five weeks. I do believe I have done what I can to learn my job at hand. Although I will agree there is still so much for me to learn I do believe I am willing to take on more. I was then told that it was the job of network integration. I now ask, "isn't the 633 Communication Squadron bigger than just one single network shop? Does the mission not come first?" I don't understand why we decide to shoot ourselves in the foot obsessing over chalk lines and processes. I feel as though the customer, product, and mission comes

Some of the brigade’s personnel are not “on the right seat on the right bus”, which I would immediately remove MAJ Wilson from his position of being the brigade S-4 and replace him with a competent officer who understands my guidance and intent. From the assessment, his shop is not operating effectively and there are some ethical behavior concerns surrounding this important shop. The brigade S-4 shop is decisive in beginning this change of completing the equipment reset process and overseeing the new equipment fielding required for the future regionally aligned forces mission. Failure to complete this task as the S4 shop causes the brigade to stumble out of the gate in becoming the lead force for the division. Next, I would empower the battalion and company commander’s to communicate the new brigade’s vision statement since they assisted in developing it and spread the message among the ranks.…

I am interesting in applying to PLFSOM because I have a desire to ultimately become a primary care physician that works in underserved communities. Coming from a rural area, I know what a lack of providers in a region can do to a community. I have spent a lot of time in border towns since my dads family is originally from Mexico and I have been able to see first hand that even the biggest of border towns still has a very big proportion of their population that is underserved. Right now, I already use my Spanish to help the Spanish speaking patients that we see at our clinic but my Spanish medical terminology is not as strong as I would like. Being able to get my medical education from a school so close to the border would help me become the…

I too, agree with Tom’s course of action. Aviation safety is paramount to mission success; more over, this is statement is underpinned with healthy squadron morale. The modern Air Force preaches that bystander behaviour is unacceptable; consequently, failure to acknowledge these concerns goes against our basic principles of right and wrong as it’s no longer tolerable to accept the status quo and follow the party line. My response to this situation would be to engage my fellow squadron members, both aircrew and maintenance with the purpose of validating the perceptions.…
