365 Day Research Paper

There is 365 days in a year. We all get the same 365 days, the only difference is how we spend them. How we use each day to our advantage. Do we spend time in sorrow, or do we treat each day like a new day? My year? It wasn't that great, but it wasn’t wasted. I used my 365th day to reflect 364 others days. The days where I may have grown, then the days that weren't so good. I can’t say that those days were perfect, because they weren't. There isn't one event that marked my transformation, everyday as an older sister to my siblings, the older daughter to my parents, and the first granddaughter of my grandparents everyday is different. Everyday I change something to make the other day better than the last. Whether it was scraping the dirt off my brothers skinned knee, shouting over who gets the last cookie from the jar “it’s mine, not it’s mine”. It was a year and a day of reflection. Isn't it crazy how we can look back a year ago and realize how much things changed? From the laughs, and tears you shared. From sitting at home at that round dinner table on a sunday afternoon, with the roasted chicken on one end of the table and the mash potatoes on another. Smelling the roasted brussel sprouts, and knowing that after that plate is full and you have had your second one. The pie that has been cooling at that windowsill all day, that warm crust and the custard melting into your mouth once it touches the tip of your tongue. Will soon enter your mouth. The amount of people that have left your life, enter, and stayed. The memories you won't forget and the memories you wished you did. Everything! It's crazy how it all happened in one year. Looking in that mirror, seeing my reflection, seeing that girl standing in front of me. Knowing that she has a chance to do something for the world. I can honestly say that I am glad of the person i have
