Dealing with a child who is scared is difficult. As adults who have had a full day, waking up in the middle of the night to go monster hunting with your child might seem like a waste of time.
Belittling or brushing off your child’s fears is only going to make it seem more real to her. Ask her to show you what she saw. A curtain blowing in the breeze, a tree outside the window or a sweater on a chair might scare your child. Put the things that are scaring her away and let her see that there is nothing to be scared of.
An important milestone in your toddler’s life is having all her baby teeth in place. Cutting the molars can be particularly painful for your child as they are quite big.
