Halloween depicts a woman in danger, which is commonly seen in multiple films, except in this film, where she defeats her tormentor. This helped attract attention to the main principle of feminist criticism. “The language and hence the worldview and social formations of our culture, not nature or external archetypes, constructed woman as [inferior]” (Mays 1324). Biographical criticism accentuates the person who created the book or movie. In “Honest Trailers- Frozen,” the voice over continually mentions Disney, its previous films, and a comparison between the different films. Would Frozen be critiqued differently had it been the first movie Disney had ever produced? That is why “[biographical] critics have supported the idea that the highest literary art is pure form, untouched by gossip or personal emotion” (Mays 1312). If Disney created the best film known to man, any other film would not compare and could never stand against that worldly acclaimed film. Frozen brings up a great point in regards to feminism, but this film is best fit with biographical criticism based on the Honest Trailers critic
