30 Minute Circuit Workouts Verses Hours at the Gym In the last past couple of years I have spent hours at the gym and never seen any drastic results. Despite the efforts of going to the gym five days a week and seeing no changes, I was not going to give up hope, in getting the results I wanted. With this in mind, I did a little research and discovered I did not even have to be spending all that time at the gym. Instead, Jillian Michaels explains that a 30 minute circuit workout is superior to a hour of running the treadmill, because of the high intensity aerobics that targets muscular endurance. The total number of circuits performed during a training session may vary depending your training level and your training objective (Jillian 1). More importantly, Jillian’s website has links to real people, and their results for circuit exercise. According to Dave from Texas in the article, “Why it Works” describes his experiences and results from the circuit workouts. Dave gives useful advice about working hard, and telling yourself that, this is what you do now. For one thing, I not only saw the results I wanted, but feel more energized to this day. Significantly, the best part of doing circuit workouts, is most of the time I do not need a gym, since I am able to use my own body weight to build my strength. Truthfully, when I first glanced at these workouts, I thought it would be to easy; after a trail run and sweating profusely, I stood corrected. Completing these workouts is no laughing matter, and the commitment is the major part in its success. Ultimately, I wanted to change my body, not to only look stronger, but feel stronger and just taking 30 minutes at high intensity impact out of my day to do so, I accomplished my goals and now have new ones to
