How to do a 3 point shot
One thing that I would really like to improve in is my 3 point shot in basketball. Playing sports seems like something easy to do but it takes practice and knowledge to learn how to execute the the techniques the right way. Basketball is just as much mental as it is physical. In my opinion you need to know the game and its rules to make a really great player. Many types of shooting takes place in this game and they all take practice to increase your shooting average, The Gm for the Toronto Raptors Rob Babcock says

In college basketball the 3 point line is 19 ft from the rim. If you struggle with your range at first, weight training and engaging your arms and legs will start to make your shot range better.
Dave Hoopla the author of Basketball Shooting say “The foot position for shoogtin the ball is the foundation and should be the same for all shots.” Players should build their shots from the ground up and have consistency in shooting consistency makes great shooting. Start with standing with feet shoulder width apart and lead with the foot on the same side of the shooting hand. Bend the knees and and slightly at the hips for explosiveness. The elbow on the shooting arm must be close to the body and lined up with the target, If your arms moves or isn't lined up your shot could be off. The non shooting hand is placed on the side of the ball its really just to balance the ball. So make sure it's out of the way of the flight of the ball.
Finally the follow through should end with the wrist and not the entire arm. If you use your whole arm it could cause your shot to be to short or hit the backboard and bounce back. The last part should be the supporting hand come off the ball and shooting
