Have you ever heard the term of man’s best friend? Our canine friends have been used for all different scenarios of our lives, from serving by our sides in careers to just being wonderful companions. My experience with dogs is that they have improved my overall health and lifestyle; the list could go on and on, but it has mainly been in two important ways. These pups have improved my health by walking them and staying physically active, however, they have also allowed me to wind down and relax with their everyday snuggles.
Well for starters, having three dogs can be chaotic. They always have me on the go, running, chasing, and playing, you name it they most likely have me doing it. In order to maintain a healthy lifestyle, daily exercise is important to keeping our bodies active and full of energy. My dogs have allowed me to stay physically active by constantly motivating to push further and walk that extra mile. Every morning around ten a.m., my dogs and I have breakfast, then we will wait about forty-five minutes, and then play tennis ball in our backyard. Although my three dogs can be maniacs; nothing is more relaxing than sliding into bed, wrapping my arms around my eighty pound pit-bull, and falling asleep. His shallow in and out breathing is like music to my ears. Like waves crashing onto the shore, his breathing puts me in a Zen state of mind and allows me to relax every muscle in my body. When we are cuddling it seems like none of my problems matter, even after a long day it is nice to embrace them into your arms and talk to them about your day. My sweet puppies have always shown such love and loyalty, it is hard to imagine my life without them.
