During my 3 day diet analysis the foods that provided me with the most amount of total fat was? On day 1 I had scrambled eggs with milk and butter which had 20.09 grams of total fat, frozen pepperoni pizza with 22.19 grams, and a hot dog wiener with 7.29. On day 2 I had an Ensure plus with 11.4 grams of total fat, and fried vegetable rice with 11.36 grams of total fats. On day 3 I had a hot pocket with ham and cheese that had 11.7 gram of total fat, Stouffer’s Chicken Alfredo with 17 grams, and Baked Macaroni and Cheese with 11.41 grams of total fat. The recommended intake for my total fat intake is 93.0 to 163.0 grams a day, which is 20 to 35% of kilocalories a day. My total fat intake for my 3 day average was 38.05 grams, which converts to 23% total kcal. My total fat intake was between the ranges that it supposed to be, so it was a thumbs up.

On day 1 I had scrambled eggs with milk and butter which had 1.14 grams of fatty acid, and a hot dog wiener with 0.07 grams of fatty acids. On day 2 the only food that I consumed that had fatty acids, was fried vegetable rice with 0.04 grams of fatty acids. On day 3 the only food I consumed with fatty acids was a hot pocket with ham and cheese with 0.23 grams of fatty acids. The recommended intake for omega 3 fatty acids is 1.6 grams a day. My total omega 3 fatty acid intake for my 3 day average was 0.66 grams. I got a thumbs down because I didn’t meet the recommended DRI. The recommended DRI omega 6 fatty acids intake is 17 grams a day. During my 3 day analysis I consumed a total of 4.57 grams. I got a thumbs down because I did not meet the recommended DRI. Additionally, the recommended intake for cholesterol is 300mg a day. My cholesterol intake for my 3 day average was 224.7 grams.     Looking back at my food diary, the positive habits that I would like to continue is the fact that I prepare almost all of my meals at home from scratch with fresh nutrient dense ingredients. In fact, in the entire 5 day food diary I only ate out once. An example of the types of dishes I cooked included, an Asian Chicken Manchow soup which was loaded with veggies like mushroom, carrots, cabbage, an egg and lean chicken breast and homemade chicken stock, which I made sure contained more veggies than chicken, served as an excellent source of both carbohydrate and protein, in short a nutrient dense meal. Another good example would be my spicy kidney bean curry which was made with dried kidney beans and not canned beans, as canned beans tend to be higher in sodium and preservatives; hence I prefer to eat more fresh or frozen produce than canned or preserved produce. On a daily basis, I consume a variety of fresh or frozen veggies and fruits by adding them to my breakfast smoothies and adding greens to my sandwiches or as a side of salad in most meals, which helps me, maintain my daily dietary fiber intake and get all the essential vitamins and minerals.…
