Sorry that it has been so long! I haven’t written much since we have met three Cowboys! If I want to be tough I can’t be writing in a diary because it looks suspicious and girly. The Cowboys have lost a bet so now we are tagalongs until we reach Fort Kearny, which we are approaching faster than I thought. Annamae and I are now going by Sam and Andy, since those are practical boy names, however, it is incredibly harder acting like one. A great deal has happened lately, we have stopped a stampede, I got in a pickle with two Scottish fellows, and I have figured out that alcohol does not mix well with me. On the bright side the dad of the Scott’s was very apologetic about the scuffle so he has given me a mule! I no longer have to double ride with
