- When I see a human skull I instantly think of death. Although, it could also have other meanings like a sign of poison. Poison is associated with death, which is why they would label a poison bottle with a skull. Another thing that comes to mind when I see a skull are pirates. Pirates use a human skull on their flags to show power and strength. They also use it as a warning to other people letting them know not to mess with them.
